ultradev or not???

hi-
i am new to dreamweaver and would like to purchase dreamweaver 4 but am not sure whether Ultradev would be right for me..

i'll tell you what i would like to do that i am not sure whether i need ultradev to do...
i'll have a small database of items that i would like for it to be possible for someone to query these over the web to see if something exists in a specific part of the database or not....i do not want the user to be able to change anything in the database, just to be able to query it..

do i need ultradev to do this or is it possible to accomplish this in Dreamworks 4 itself?

Yes, if you want to connect Dreamweaver to a database, you need to do this in UltraDev.

Ultradev certainly makes connecting to a database easier. It can also be done via ASP/PHP pages, but that's a lot more work.
