OK> I'll try to be clear.

I have a G3v9, where a blockof DIDs come in (2900-2999). Those numbers are udpcoded to another switch, a Prologix.

There are many working extensions there in the PL in the 2900 range. I am trying to add 2996-2999 to signalling group 2 over there for dcs and audix, but when I try and add the extension numbers in the TSC fields, I get an error that "UDP must be local".

I can add the extension numbers as stations, but for some reason it won't let me do this. Any ideas?

TIA

If I remember correctly it's change UPD 2996. That should put you at the line you want to update. You may need to change the rest of the range to whatever RNX you are using but these 4 will need to be changed to local.
Good luck

That's definately what I'd do on the R9 side. My problem is my lack of understanding of the Prologix change uniform screen.

"29" appears as an entry, with 4 digits expected and set to aar, so I can't understand why that switch doesn't see 2996-2999 as local.

I"ll take another look, thanks for the input

maverick2689,

if the 2900-2999 range is local to prologix, then why it was defined as an udp range there, in the first place? 'change uniform' screen works in a simple way: anything you define here is remote, but you can make exceptions to this rule defining extensions or ranges as local by using 'ext' in the Net field.
so you can to it two ways: either define extensions 2996 to 2999 with length 4 as an 'ext' or remove 2900-2999 range from uniform table completely.

thanks dwalin, setting those 4 particular numbers to "ext" did the trick.

No idea why it was set up like it was, I inherited the switch from the previous tech director.

Thanks again.
