Hi,

Does anyone know why Aastra/Mitel recommends UDP instead of TCP in the MX one system?

Does anyone here run TCP and found some problems with it?

Hi

It's not just for MX-One, it's a principle of VoiP. TCP is a connection-orientated protocol and retransmits can cause jitter,

I know the difference, so UDP is default because of the risk for more jitter?

I already answered your question but you do not want retransmits and UDP is a leaner protocol, if you know the difference you already know the answer :)
