Hi All.

After doing an initiation of my UCM, I no longer am able to run the web wizard.
I have tried different web browsers, did a reboot, etc. and still no go.

I verified that I see the ucm module, my voicemail ip address in manager is 169.254.0.2, but it still doesn't run.

When I look in the UCM module itself, the IP address I see within the control units tab is 0.0.0.0 (which I find confusing, as the documentation says it should be the LAN address).

I can ping the LAN without fail, and have verified that it is 192.168.42.1.

any ideas?

Regards

Hi Holdmusic.

Thanks for the answer.

Which password are you speaking of? I can't even get to the webpage for webcontrol / web passwords.

Or are you speaking about another one.

Regards

An update:

When I look in the System Status I see under links:
"Voicemail Pro connection failure".

I've been google searching but it has turned up nothing for me.

The address that you said was 192.168.42.1 that is the IPO have you tried 192.168.42.200 the default of the UCM. If it does show all zeros that tried to restore to default and try ignition again.

When you did the ignition, which IP address did you enter for the UCM?
Did you enter a valid default gateway?
Is the subnetmask correct?

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Hi Guys.

What do you mean by ignition?

When I used the USB initiator, it never asked for any of the IP information.

I ran the usb initiator, to create a bootable usb, put the .iso in the C110 folder, not in the image folder, and then inserted the key into the top usb port on the UCM, per the avaya instructional video. Then I pressed the top button on the unit until the unit shut down (no lights except for the red heartbeat LED). Then I rebooted, again using the button. The two leds flashed, and after about 45 minutes, and no activity on my usb key for 10 minutes (more than avaya said), I removed my usb key and tried to do the web access.

You need to type So use the ip of the ipo with port 7070
This will force you to do the ignition and then you can enter the IP address the UCM needs (it needs it's own IP address.
Do not change the 169.x.x.x address as this is correct.

Hi ltpeter.

Yes, I tried to do the with two different browsers, and I keep getting "page cannot be displayed".

I have taken another usb key, and put the initializer on it,initialized it and put the iso (c110-81.98-1_el6.iso) into the C110 folder.

I am running IP Office 8.1.69 on this unit.

Should I be using another iso? This is the latest / greatest that I could find on the support.avaya.com site.

Regards

VICTORY!

It appears that the UCM didn't like my USB key.

I took a brand spanking new USB key a cohort gave me, used the initializer on it, took my .iso and ran the program and now I have access to the web browser to go the rest of the way!

Thanks to everyone for all of their help.

Regards
