Hey Everyone,

I have a IMX 2400 and use the mat terminal to administer it.

I have a user who would like a certain phone setup. They want a main number where people can dial in and then if the number is busy it should roll over to the other number and then to a mailbox.

I have set this up using a group but it will ring 4 times for each phone it hits so the total rings could be very high.

is there anyway to make it ring both phones at the same time? and then if one of them is busy only ring the free phone... then if they are both busy goto a voicemail... and if noone is there only ring 4/5 times and then goto voicemail?

Any help would be appreciated.

Newbie;

Best option for call delivery - ashc
Best option for multiple line appearance - akyd

To set it up, assign a group in ASHC with the three extensions. The first two will be the physical phones where calls will be answered. If you want both to ring at the same time, put line appearances on both phones for both members of the hunt group using AKYD.

The third party in the hunt group will be an extension that is call fwd all to VM. To set call fwd, use ACFS.

To get all calls on no answer after 4/5 rings to vm, simply assign call fwd no answer to vm for the first two members of the hunt group sing ACFS.

Hope this helps.

that sounds like what i want but i dont want multiple vm boxes... only one... did i read that wrong?

Newbie;

The way NEC works with MCI is that when a call is delivered to VM, the original called party number will be presented to VM. This means that if a call hops to different extensions in a hunt group, when it does get to vm, it will access the vm box for the dialled extension. If your hunt pilot is 222 and it hunts from 222 to 223 then gets vm, it should access mbox for 222, not 223.

Hope this helps.
