What rules are used when a UCA client uses an imported outlook contacts details to dial, where do you add 9 for the outside line.

In the 3300 system options there is a prompt to add a digit to insert for applications. I have added a 9 but this does not seem to have any effect.

The user guide mentions standard and coconical numbering, if the latter is not used do you have to put a 9 in front of all the numbers in outlook. If the user then synch's with his blackberry this then stops that dialling. I have tried adding and changing the Phone /Modem dialling rules in windows but again no effect.

What am I missing.

You need to set up the Dialling options on the PC.

Control Panel - Phone and Modem options

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

You need to program a 9 in the dialling prefix and set your extension length against the PBX node in the UC server. This will tell the clients that anything longer than the extension length needs a 9 in front
