My current setup:

Linksys RV082 Dual Wan Router
|
Cisco UC520
|
Cisco 2821
|
Cisco Catalyst 3650g
|..................|
Phones.....Desktops

My problem is that when I plug in a phone to the Catalyst 3650g I get a
configuring ip etc. loop. What I think I am doing wrong is not routing the voice trafic correctly through the 2821 router, or the router is not configured properly for the phone trafic.

I currently have uc520 on default configurations for VLAN(100), and the catalyst 3650g switch setup for the phones voice trafic VLAN(100). All data flow on the network is fine.

Thank you for your help,
Michael Bernstein

Why is the 2821 between the us500 and the switch?

Are your ports setup for trunking/802.1q?

The 2821 is between the 2821 because the uc520 did not work well with the computers dhcp on the network (macs espicialy) the catalyst ports are setup for phones...do I need (and how do I setup) vlans on the 2821, or trunking If needed?

It appears that theres a programming issue with the uc500 to the switch. Are you using the default ip's and vlans?

Data vlan 1 voice vlan 100...

The port on the switch connected to the uc500 needs to be a trunk port.

post a config of the ip's vlan and switchports...
