Hello all,

I may have a client upgrading from a UC Module to a standalone Voicemail Pro Server (Thank God...)

A little back story, Xima installed Xima Chronicall onto their server and pointed all the voicemails to be stored onto the UC Module (Insane I know)
I've been on the phone with Xima for hours and we finally fixed it but the fix is not permanent.
After we got the solution, Xima even put a blurb in their guidebooks to NEVER put anything Xima related on the UC Module. Kinda neat and a GIGANTIC screw up on Xima's part.

Anywho...

The client would either like a new UC Module or a Standalone Voicemail Pro Server which I am rooting for the latter.

I was wondering if it is possible to extract any and all information from the UC Module and shove it into a Voicemail Pro Server without creating all new call flows from scratch.

If you had a similar experience from going from UC Module to a Voicemail Pro Server let me know.
OR
If you have any crazy stories about UC Modules those would be great too.

Thank you!!

Take a full backup amd restore it on the new VM Pro server.
As it will migrate from Linux to Windows you have to go through all call flows to check the file paths pointing to customised wav files as Linux use / as the file separator and windows use \.

Not a problem if you user Application server which is Linux based like the UCM with one major difference - it works.

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

Thank you both for your replies.

I'm trying to sway the client to go this route as UC Modules can be headaches. Knowing that this process can be done is a bit more reassuring than rebuilding their entire call flow design.

Stars to you!!
