Tried using a monitor on the HDMI Port and Keyboard on USB port and "no signal on Monitor." HDMI works in Conf Room.
Used web browser and couldn't get to IP address on UC Module. I can see it in Manager under Control Unit.
Installer used wrong IP address and now we can't even ping it on the network. Don't want to replace if at all possible. Also it is 8.1.68. VMPRO is working, just can't get to the UC module to change IP address.

Why don't you try an open up voicemail pro client.
It will try to find the voicemail pro.

When the UCM is running and you connect a monitor then nothing happens.
Reboot the UCM while the monitor is connected, then you will see it.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Hi there.

You might have to re-initialize the unit if you can't access it.

You didn't, by accident, change the 169.254.0.1 address in the UCM? It is how the unit communicates with the IP Office.

But then if you say the voicemail is working, then that shouldn't be the issue.

Regards

Going to re-initialize the module with the monitor connected. Can't reach it thru VM Client or Manager either. So the IP 169.254.0.1 is what's suppose to be the IP for the UC Module? The installer has 172.140.1.6 which is incorrect and didn't install Client, I have it installed now on the network but still can't reach VMPRO. Every thing is working on VMPRO.

Have you tried the ip addy of the IP Office with a 7070? That's the default webcontrol address when it first comes up. IE 192.168.20.1:7070

Just a thought.

Another tech friend suggested that also. Customer is getting a new module shipped to site. He's aware messages and greetings will be lost. My question is if I have to rebuild the VM boxes? thanks for everyone's help.

Do you understand how it works?
I guess not!

The UCM has an IP address and it is connected through 169.254.0.1 to the IPO.
So you need to leave that in the IPO but connect to it on the 172 address.
The UCM communicates on an internal address but you should not do that.

Get the installer back to configure it correctly!

A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

Ok was able to get screen using a monitor and key board. Login with Administrator and get" Session setup problem, abort." Tried system-config-network and got "bash system-config-network". Just need to go in and change the IP address on the module and I can go home. VMPRO is still working ok.

All is well. Was able to get in and change the ip address after getting the correct login and pwd from the Vendor.
