Has anyone successfully setup UC mobile for iPhone or iPad? Our current UC server version is 9.1.32 the UC software is at version 3.2.15. I see support for Blackberry but I do not see support for other smartphones etc. I'm wondering if we need to upgrade to 4.0 software or higher to get this functionality? Please advise. Thank you!

The license changed to Smart phone at rel 4 so yes you will need to upgrade, Officelink will only work with MCD 4

We are at MCD 4.0 at 3 sites and 4.2 at our 4th site. There may be a confusion factor here. If functionality is realized merely through the MCD I think we are covered. However, as I understand it the setup for UC Mobile to smartphones i.e. android, iphone and ipad is via the UC server and client which then synchs to the MCD correct? So I am asking if our UC server (Mitel Unified Communications Server)at the current level of hardware at 9.1.32 and the UC software at 3.2.15 is preventing us from getting this to function properly?

I have upgraded the UC software to 4.0 and I can see that I do indeed have the PRG option and UCA mobile management options in my account profile and I now have a new 4.0 version of UC Advanced. We had old licenses for mobility prior to 4.0 on the MCD so I understand what you are saying now as it appears that we need new licenses to enable this functionality. My question now is which of the following licenses should we purchase to enable Android, iPhone and iPad for UCA mobile? If you know, please advise. Thanks!!

UC Advanced Mobile for Android
UC Advanced Mobile for BlackBerry
OR
Stand-alone Mobile Web Portal

As a side note, I am going to finish upgrading the UC to the latest and greatest so possibly more options will be available for licensing features? Thanks again!

If you're upgrading to UCA 5.x latest and greatest, the UCA license becomes "UCA Mobile for Smart Devices", which covers iPhone/iPad, Android or Crackberry in one license. One license may be relatively inexpensive, but Mitel does offer a 50-license pack as well. If you're using them through Mitel Border Gateway (Teleworker), read p.86 of the UCA Admin Guide for some configuration differences between MBG 7.0 (or earlier) and MBG 7.1
