Please assist, I have a UC360 installed on 3300 running 13.0.0.80 and I can only make 4 conference calls on the UC360.I also set 4 keys to multicall, and have set the maximum parties in a conference calls on the Mitel to 8. Any idea??
Are you using the UC bridge or the 3300 bridge? UC is limited to three parties + yourself. So thats your lot.
After that you will have to use the 3300 conference facilities. I am assuming that you can conference in the UC to a 3300 conference when you have connected all your parties but only the 4 of you will be on the actual UC unit. I have not tried this though. And also assuming no video.
I am using the UC bridge. How then do I use the 3300 conference facility? With the 5330e IP Phone I am able to make up to 8 parties but on the UC it gives a message that the bridge is full @ 4 party conference. I was assuming that it will act just like an IP Phone whereby one can call out to 8 parties. If there's a work around please advise...
You can only call out to three parties on the UC unit. That is its limit.
I don't think there is a workaround that will work thinking about it unless you can maybe get conferenced in on a 3300 conference then conference in three parties on the UC after you have been joined to the 3300 conference.
What you are deciding is where the conferencing control is held.
If the UC360 controls the conferencing then you are limited to 4 parties.
If the 3300 Controls the conferencing, then you are limited to 8 parties, the process is quite cumbersome though so I don't recommend it.
If the AWC controls the conferencing then you are limited by AWC licensing. Best option by far if you have a MAS application available.
There is an interesting actual work around for automatic inbound conferencing that takes advantage of the Non-Busy extension function on an analog set. It requires a free analog station and analog trunk on the system though. If you are virtual then too bad so sad. faq1329-5872
