Hello,

I want to use email to voicemail with an Avaya UC110 modul, but I cant seem to get it working.

I have an IP-Office 500v2 on the 8.1(56) software release. I can send an email from the IP-Office for example mailing the alarms of the system. But not the voicemails from the UC110 card. I filled in the same SMTP data in the voicemail pro client as in the IP-Office. But I think I have to do more or just something else.

If you mean the email settings for the users on the voicemail tab of the users, of course i've did that. Normally I use Voicemail Pro on a server, for Voicemail to email thats no problem. This customer used to have an voicemail server, but that one crashes and then they decide to buy an UC110 module and since then it didn't work anymore.

Can you ping the email server from your VLAN or network? This is a fault you have to get in and isolate yourself.

What's the ip address of your UC Module in System> Voicemail?

The domain will be mail.yourdomain.com or smtp.yourdomain.com
You may be talking on Port 587 instead of port 25.
Confirm you don't need a sender account, or if you require one, you have created one with the correct password.

Watch the event in Sys mon. to see the email attempt. You're looking for a return of 200 (success) or 250 i think. Have IT confirm whether the mail is hitting the email exchange.

Even create a dummy account on a local machine of the email account you are trying to use to see if it is operational.

Hi There,

Thanks for the reply, I have it working on this moment. I had to use the MAPI client to get the UC110 module to mail the voicemail messages. I never worked with MAPI and Voicemail Pro before, I always used the SMTP settings.

I would suggest this means that the customers Exchange server is not correctly configured for SMTP

it means that the mail server you are trying to connect to (I presume it's an exchange server as MAPI works) is not correctly configured to accept smtp from your C110.
