I have an odd situation. Here is the following VPN setup.

We have a VPN setup between two domains. A.com and B.com. We have an Iseries server with an address of 10.0.0.4 that is on A.Com. The B.com domain controller can ping 10.0.0.4 fine, but when we are on a b.com client we are unable to ping 10.0.0.4. The b.com clients can ping any other server or wks. that is on A.com. Any ideas on what is going on?

Are the clients on b.com on a different subnet than the servers(ie domain controller). If that's the case, can the Iseries route back to this different subnet?
Could explain why the domain controller can ping, but the clients can not.
Just an idea.

One more thing.

How's the trace route from the b.com clients to the Iseries look? Where's it getting dropped? That'll tell you where the problem is!

When I do the Tracert command I get the following:

Tracert to 10.0.0.5

On Client: (IP Address 10.0.2.24, Subnet-255.255.255.0)

10.0.2.2
10.0.2.11-Stops here (RAS server on a.com)

On Server: (Ip address 10.0.2.2, S)(RAS Server on b.com)

10.0.2.11-RAS Server on a.com
10.0.0.5- Completes

I would guess it is an Iseries thing because I am able to ping to any other IP address...ex. 10.0.0.6, 10.0.0.10...and other servers on A.com)

The RAS servers are both on the same subnet (10.0.2.x) that seems odd. They are both at seperate locations correct?

Unfortunately, that's about as far as I can help since I don't know Iseries at all.

Yep they are in different locations...A.com is on 10.0.0.1 with subnet 255.255.255.0 and B.com is on 10.0.2.2 with subnet 255.255.255.0. Same subnet....

10.0.0.x
10.0.2.x
Different subnets.

In a previous message you stated that both RAS servers are on 10.0.2.x
That was kind of funny. Sorry for the misunderstanding, it was just a typo I guess.

I'll see your DMCA and raise you a First Amendment.

Yep...Sorry about the typo.....

thanks,
