I have a Tyan Trinity 400, model S1854

When I boot up, the keyboard is not found - Del or F1 keys do not work. In addition, the usual blinking of the num/alpha/scroll lock lights does not happen.

I've done the bios reset, any suggestions? What do those fuses by the cpu do?

cheers,
Mike

Have you tried another keyboard?
Have you made sure that none of the pins are bent or broken on the keyboard?

Is the keyboard USB or ps2? You may be able to adapt to the other connection type.

Yep - tried three different keyboards, and one USB one. No bent pins, etc.

If you have tried three keyboards in the ps2 port. You either have a bad port, or, you could........pull out the cmos battery for a minute or three, and reseat it. I don't know if its possible to disable ps2 ports in the bios, but trying crazy things sometimes works.
