Hi all a friend bought a computer running a Cyrix 233 processor on a TX Pro II (M571 LMR) motherboard. The problem is at present the VDU uses the onboard graphics card on the motherboard itself we want to install a new PCI graphics card but the motherboard will not detect the new card and still looks for the VDU on the old socket I think there must be a jumper that needs moving but do not know which one any one any ideas.
There is a set of three jumpers named A, B, C on one edge of the board.

I have installed the drivers by the way!

check out the web site of the motherboard manufacture, if you dont know this write down the bios part no. that is displayed when you boot the machine. it will be on the first screen you see. then using a search engine such as webferret enter the number in the search field. this should return a list of hits, your mobo manufacturer will be there somewhere. you will then be able to locate the manual and work out how to disable the video.

however, the video may be able to be disabled in bios, so i would check this out first.

when you have disabled onboard vidoe, install your new card and switch on, following the install procedure for the card.

hope this helps

Thank for all your help I have now found out the information I need.
