Two Win2k3 servers - one or two SAV server installations?

I've got two servers:
1. Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition with an expired SAV 8.1 license (stand alone).
2. Windows 2003 Standard Edition configured as a SAV 9.0 server (10 users).

Would there be any problems if I uninstall 8.1 from Server 1 and install the 9.0 client so that Server 2 can manage it? I can't tell for sure if I need to have completely separate installations on each server, or if I can make one server a client of the other.

Sure that sounds good as long as the second server is running SAV server. You should uninstall server one's symantec product and then run setup.exe from \\server2\vphome\clt-inst\win32\setup.exe to install server 1 as a client of server 2.

With 10 users, you might even put the client on both and put the server on some other 2k/xp workstation somewhere. That way you don't have the overhead on the server, not to mention having to reboot the thing if you want to upgrade. Meh, but then again, if it's already on there, it'd take a reboot to get it off...
