I was woundering if there is a way to connect a secound voicemail to an 8x24. I have two customers that are sharing the same system, but each want their own general delivery, greetings etc. I was thinking if there is a way to change the feature codes feature 981, 983, etc.. to something else on the secound voicemail it may be possible. Has anyone ever tried this. The 1st voicemail is a flash 4, and the secound voicemail I would install would be a flash 4 as-well. Enyone have any insight to this.

the system picks up its own set of new feature codes during the initialization ...

the flash can handle greeting tables for 2 different companies, 2 attendants, 2 CCRs ... so you probably dont need a second voicemail at all

Kg,
For two companies and two general delivery Mboxes, I usually have to disable the real gen del mbox and use the two mail boxes attached to each of the 'reception' sets and make each of those sets the attendant on Table programming. Just be aware that in the event of complete misrouting, VMail will route the call to the lowest ext no and mailbox no by default. So when I did this last, I made sure that both the reception sets were 221 and 222 and that each person there knew that calls may come accidentally to the wrong ext.
I did it last on a CP100 with it's 4 Tables and 8 CCR trees.

The problem is the 1st voicemail is a mini not a flash4. The owner of the system does not wanna spend the money for new voicemail. So the company that is sharing this system needs more mailboxes. And the don't have the money to buy their own system. I have a flash4 used in stock so thats why I want to put in there for them. To give both company's what they want. I hope this makes sense. thanks again guys.

So set up the Flash on top of the Mini.
It should work out fine.

For the record, you can choose a different range of F codes with the Flash. I dont know if you can do this with the Mini and I know you cant do this with a NAM.

Interestingly enough, with a CP, it will find its own way to the F codes, but if there is an existing email in place at the default address, it will clobber it.
