I have two tables. One with This Year data and the other with LY data. Can I have a report with two tables joined? If so, how do i join them?

My first question is why do you have two separate tables?

As for your question, it depends on what you want to do in your report, and how your tables are structured. You can write a UNION query. Or you could have two subreports in your report, one for each year. Why don't you tell us more about what you are trying to do so we can help figure it out. Also include the tables' structures.

Thanks Ginger for the response. Here is the deal. The tables are huge. I am going to merge this year last year data into one table. I want to be able to show the increase decrease year vs. year. There are three sub groups to this

Category
Manager
Location
This Year Last Year Variance

I hope this explains better Thanks for all the help

Can you please explain your table structure better? I see you have fields Category, Manager and Location, but what is the data and what fields is it in? Is it by month? or just one field with an integer in it? If you just simply post your table structure it will help.

thanks.
