Hello everyone
we have an employee that is exposed to considerable noise levels in one of our stores, such that he doesn't hear his phone when it rings.
We had a similar problem in one of our other stores, so we installed a flashlight that should blink when someone calls the employee. Our phone vendors solved this by installing a desk phone and by configuring a bridged appearance on the ip dect phone with the extension of the desk phone. They also gave the ip dect phone a new extension, and configured the old extension on the desk phone. They also configured the extension of the phone on the audio codes media gateway.
When someone calls the employee the deskphone rings, the flashlight blinks and the ip dect phone rings too. So it's working like we wished, but i don't like the fact that we have to use a separate desk phone to accomplish this.
For the second store we also installed a flashlight, but I tried to configure the bridged appearance on the endpoint of the flashlight with the extension of the ip dect phone. When I tried to do the button configuration I received the error message "Button type mus be abrdg-appr for this principal".
Does anyone know why this message appears and if the way I want to do this configuration is possible?
Edit: Forgot to add, that the flashlight has a RJ11 Port that can be used to connect to a phone system.
