Hello, well we have a MICS, and all calls are answered by the automated attendant, but, when somebody calls ext 212 (internal or external calls) the 211 also rings.. but that never happen if you dial 211, so the problem is when somebody dial 212 because you have two extensions ringing, as you can imagine the person at the 211 ext is getting crazy because all the "wrong answered calls".. I tried to go to the system but I only have in my notes the password for admin (23646).. I used to program a CICS and I remember there was another pass for having access to the groups and everything.. do you have an idea what's going on with this thing?... are the extensions in another group or something, how can I fix it?.. help!!! thanks!!

Fernando

dial 212 internally while looking at 211. Determine which indicator light blinks on 211 when you dial 212. Then after the ringing has stopped on 211 press feat*0, then press the button that was indicating. - What does the display on 211 say?

Well from your "yes!", it sounds like you've figured it out. But just in case... It sounds like there's an Answer DN for 212 on extension 211. If you go into programming, you can remove the answer dn from 211.
