Please excuse these strange questions: they come from my bosses, not from me.

Question 1: One boss hasn't checked voicemail since last October. Is there a way to delete all messages between, say, 10-1-06 and 8-1-07, or will his secretary have to delete them one by one? (My vote is to delete the whole mailbox and start over again.)

Question 2: Is there a COS setting that will prevent messages from being left once a mailbox is full? So far all I have found is that MM will tell the user his mailbox is full when he logs in if the limit has been exceeded, but it will still allow the caller to leave a message. He wants the caller to be told "No messages can be left because that mailbox is full."

Will any of this get better when I migrate everyone to CP next month? :)

Question 1 is a big fat NO!! you have to delete one at a time or out the mailbox completely.

the answer to Question 2 is also a NO unless there's a trick that i've never heard of.

YES, migrating to CP w/give you extra features that you don't have today. it's much better and the GUI interface is sweet.........

to question 2, that can be set on a cls level.. block msgs to full mb.. you can do that by making a single mb personal cos or by changing a in service class..

JP, could you point me to the setting to block messages when mb is full on MM? I found the check box on CP (yes I have both right now), but have never been able to find it on MM.

Oops, one more CP question: is there a Personal COS as there is in MM? I'd like to block messages just for this one guy, not everyone with that COS. I hesitate to start building a different COS for each user's personal whims. Been there done that on another system. Becomes hard to manage all the different classes.

One good thing about CP, is you can name your COS.

yes on the personal.. and you can name your classes on mermail.. i used to call them names all the time
