Two Jobs on 1 Tape

BE 10d; Exabyte VXA-2 1x10U PacketLoader

I am trying to set jobs up so a Differential is finihsed followed by a full backup of one directory appended to the same tape.

I set up the Differential job minus that directory. I set up another job to do a full back of just Directory XYZ.

Tapes are set to allow appends, but 2nd job backed up to the next available tape versus appending to the Differential backup.

I'm obviously missing a piece to insure these two jobs end up on the same tape. I would appreciate any leads!

I have a HP autoloader so it may be a little different, but what I do to make sure multiple jobs don't go to another tape besides a media set, is to define a partition for each job. Then point both jobs to that partition.
