Is it not possible to twin 2 or multiple 5010's together? The situation I'm in is we have our maintenance department in another building and I would like every phone over there to ring at once if an extention is called but the only way I can seem to get it to work is adding a multicall button to each set. Is there another way to do this? Also is there a way to make 1 general mailbox for this dept that all of them can access and that will flash on all of the phones? Thanks in advance.

i take that back. it only works if the console transfer the call or from a local phone on site not if you call in and hear the auto attendant and dial the extension. is it suppose to work like that?

that means you do not have trunk tandeming enabled. This starts in form 30 then in form 4 option 21 enabled then in cos enable the trunk types to tandem ie option 313

the cos of the phantom.
If you can dial the phantom in night and it goes to sc then should be ok, if trunks coming in don't go then to me it is a trunk to trunk issue. What type of trunks are you using?

what time zone are you in?
I have to cut out for awhile, will check thread when I come back, good luck we are almost there.

yes 245 is enabled in the phantom cos. LS trunks. I can call into our 800 # and transfer the call to the phantom fine so opt 313 and opt 21 in sys opts are both working but i dont' see why voicemail/auto attendant can't do it.

is option 245 in the cos of the voicemail?
You may also have to add 313 to the voicemail cos.

thank you that worked! i didn't have opt 313 enabled in voicemail. now how do i get rid of the major alarm? I tried changing the line alarm thresholds but I may not be doing it right.

this is what i have set:

BAY NUM # OF TOT DEV PERCENT ALARM MINOR MAJOR CRITICAL
DEVICES UNAVAIL UNAVAIL LEVEL

Bay# 0 0 0 0% 0% 20% 0
Bay# 1 34 0 0% 0% 20% 0
Bay# 2 59 0 0% 0% 20% 0
Bay# 3 0 0 0% 0% 20% 0
Bay# 4 0 0 0% 0% 20% 0
Bay# 5 0 0 0% 0% 20% 0
Bay# 6 0 0 0% 0% 20% 0
Bay# 7 1 1 100% Major 0% 0% 0

you have to change the "bay" and "system" for lines. You change the system the same way you changed the bay.

system is only a minor alarm though. if I change the system won't that mess it up if there is a real alarm?

BAY NUM # OF TOT DEV PERCENT ALARM MINOR MAJOR CRITICAL
DEVICES UNAVAIL UNAVAIL LEVEL

Bay#11 0 0 0% 0% 20% 0
Bay#12 0 0 0% 0% 20% 0
Bay#13 0 0 0% 0% 20% 0
Bay#14 0 0 0% 0% 20% 0
Bay#15 0 0 0% 0% 20% 0
System 94 1 1% Minor 0% 20% 0

when you view the system go 1% higher for minor and leave major as is as well as critical.

you are looking at a minor now and the system is at 1% because of your phantom bay, if you set the minor to 2 % then a real alarm will trigger a minor. You will have to adjust this for any phantoms you add. Set "system" to:
minor - 2%
major and critical leave
