Put this on partner forum by mistake re posted here:

Hello I reviewed the following thread:

but I guess the instructions were not clear for me. I have 5 difference extension users using Twinning on an IPO 500 9.0 and they want to be able to turn on and off their cell phone twinning when they are gone for the day or over the weekend.

Do the instructions from that thread control a single Twinned extension or is there a code that needs to be entered, are these DID numbers that are acting like ON and OFF switches. The thread does not go into to much detail about how this works

If they have the One-X mobile client then they can activate de-activate twinning from the app OR you have to setup Incoming call Routes to FNE codes OR if you have VM Pro you have to give them access to their mailbox from remote.

Look for FNE in Manager help. It is well described.

You can also create a time profile for business hours.

Create a time profile and label it Twinning. Set the time for Monday thru Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm or whatever your business hours are. Then in the users mobility tab you can put the Twinning time profile in there and it will take care of it.

I guess what's confusing about the instructions is I don't understand what 77719 and 77720 means. I'm trying to wrap my mind around the concept of turning on and turning off the individual users twinning there are five of them so how would a single number be able to control 5 different users? I have located and installed one x light and the communicator application but I can't find easy to use programming documentation on how to set them up. There's a video online but its not very clear about the task. Thanks

I'm afraid this is not a Avaya University site.
We are professionals making a living in installing and programming IP Office.
If we start off to train and help anyone here with configuration of their telephone system we would be unemployed in no time.

As you can understand that is not our goal here.

Pleas do us and yourselve a favour and find a reliable Avaya partner to help you.

What is the goal of this website then? I thought it was to help?

To help, yes. But not to tell the exact things Avaya documents well.

It is not to hard to create short codes that call the needed FNE functions. If you look into the docs you will find a list with two digit FNE codes and their meaning. The user is identified by cell phone number in his mobile twinning target number.

Well, that said I still want to help you but I expect you to first read the docs about it, do try to set it up and see what happens.
Then if you have some understanding about the matter and you can't get it to work come back here.
This document from Avaya will get you a far end on the way.

Well here is what I have been able to accomplish so far. I set up for example for Dial Tone a DID Destination to the SC 77700/FNE/00. I entered by cell number including (9) for the mobile twinning number. I called the DID number and got a dial tone, so this tells me that the IPPO knows it is me calling.

I could not break the dial tone regardless of what I entered on my dial pad on my cell phone. I do notice that the dial tone from the IPO volume is slightly distorted. This is running on a PRI. I also tried to use the Star Star features and this would not work either when a twinned called arrived so that I could transfer it. Any suggestions.

Has the user got "mobile call control" enabled?
