I have an IP Office with 4 SIP Lines coming in. I am using mobile twinning and Voicemail Pro. I am having a challenge when a call come in, it takes so long for the SIP trunk to dial the mobile number, our cells ring once before the call is picked up by voicemail. I am not sure if this is an issue with Voicemail Pro Timing, ARS tables.

I just had to learn this, our BP went out of business.

I would like to thank the board owners, this message board has already helped address a lot of our issues.

what version is the ip office on?

try increasing the no answer time in the users settings

Never argue with an idiot. bystanders won't be able to tell the difference.

The 15 second (3 ring) timer is not enough to get more than 1 ring, typically, on your mobile phone. You will want to adjust that. I usually suggest a minimum of 20-25 seconds for your No Answer time (User>Telephony>Call Settings) which should give you 3-4 rings on your mobile.

For sip calls you generally have a dial delay timer of about 3-5 seconds (depending how old or incapable your users are!). This allows the user to finish typing the number before the digits are sent to the sip trunk.

What you could do because twinning works differently as the system is dialling the digits, is create an ARS table specifically for twinning and put a digit 8 infront of the twinned number. e.g.

8N
N
ARS:55 - Called SIP_Twin

In ARS 55
N;
N"@sip.provider.com"
TG - SIP Trunk

But set the Dial Delay timer to 0 or 1.

Also make sure that the twinning mobile delay is as low as possible.

Failing all this, increase the voicemail timer.

Can you walk me through these steps?

8N
N
ARS:55 - Called SIP_Twin

In ARS 55
N;
N"@sip.provider.com"
TG - SIP Trunk

I have IP OFFICE 4.2

So TheTaker your saying "depending how old or incapable your users are" yet in the same post assuming they are smart enough to remember that they dial 9 to make an outside call but they use an 8 when they enter their Twinning number?
