Hi People

i am a very basic flash user....i am trying to create logo which involves a cable shooting onto the logo and plugging into something

i can only make the i line tween in a straight line onto the screen and nothing more......i tried usuing a motion path but the line just follows the path rather than extending down the path....if you understand what i mean

i am currently using mac flash 8 but i do have access to cs4 if there is a easier way on there?

i have tried youtube for tutorials but all i get is a circle following a path or a ball bouncing or a wheel rolling

nothing like what i am after

any help would be great ... i really not good at code, i am mainly doing everything how i see it so a guide is always good rather than a random bit of code

Cheers

Please delete thread if necessary...

spoken to a friend and been suggested that frame by frame is the easiest way for what i want to do

tried it last night and did not take me very long for a test pattern so today i will make the real thing

Cheers

Sounds as though the instance is not locking onto the motion path. Make sure you drag the cross hair of the instance on to the registration point until it clicks into place. The only downside to frame by frame is the final animation gets kind of blocky.
