I have a friend who has a panasonic 1232D with a TVS100 that I am making changes to. I work on Nortel and Avaya I have very little panasonic experience but he is my friend so here I am. I have dug out our manuals from the office and downloaded many pdfs but I can not clearly find an answer.

I would like to know how to have a day AND a night greeting. The current set up is greeting 1 is recorded but it is only silence. The have Customer Service 1 recorded with 4 options. 1=directory, 2=sales, 3=general mailbox, 4=operator.

I tried recording a night greeting as greeting 2 and I put the switch in to night mode manually and I waited until after hours but it does not play my night greeting either way. The time on the voicemail is set the same as the switch.

Do I need to assign greeting 2 as the night greeting somewhere? Is there a different day/night schedule for the TVS somewhere?

Any of the programming that I have completed has been made via the telephone set, the general delivery mailbox or the admin mailbox.

Will I need to use a console terminal connection?

Thanks

I would suggest consoling in to the voice mail, you will probably find that there are day/night settings in the voice mail, i will check on ou vm system tommorrow, another thing to try is to change the clock time on the TVS to an after hours time, it will depend on what time the TVS is set to go into night mode to get the night message

Thanks I look forward to the additional informaiton. I have the TVS clock set the same as the switch. Where do you set up the TVS night mode schedule? is it done via the console?

I have just run up my TVP100 at home and you can set the day/night mode message times under
Program
System parameter
Day Mode
My system is set to stay in day mode, the settings are adjustable for each day of the week to switch betwen day and night mode.
I use the same cable (DB25) to program the td1232 and the TVP100

get a null modem adapter and a db 9 to db 25 cable connect
with huperterminal 9600 N 8 1 and no flow control and set a custom service for night and record it and set
night service on both units so they match and then
record your night custom service greeting.....

Thank you. I didn't realize a lot of the setting were programmed on the console. Is there a user name / password once I am connected to get in to the administration mode?

if there is one onthere (there isn't one by default)you are going to have to re-init
the voicemail system. I personally don't or did password my tvs installs so you have 50/50 S!!

If it is passworded, you can to enter "drowssap" (no ") as the login password. This was a backdoor password that was available on some of the older units

thank you everyone. I'll be going out soon and will inplement your suggestions.
