TVA or OGM question for emergency messages

Hello,

I have a question again. We have a TDE600 with a 6 channel TVA50. This phone system is located on a fenced base. In a case of a certain emergency we want to be able to record a message via phone and make it available to all phone extension. People should be able to call a certain number and then they hear the pre-recorded message until they hang up. Is this possible to do with the TVA or the build in OGM? Of with a extra software over a sip extension?

There is a paging feature in mailboxes where the mailbox's name is played to a paging group. You would have to record your emergency message in the mailbox's name. I've only done it once and it was a while ago so you'll have to look it up. I do know you have to activate the paging feature in the mailbox. I believe in your situation it would work something like this:

[li]Dial a mailbox number.[/li]
[li]The mailbox greeting will play which at that point you can press a digit to activate the paging feature.[/li]
[li]The system will call a paging group saying "mailbox name = your emergency message" then "you have a call". You can turn off the "you have a call" prompt.[/li]

Hi,

I looked in your solutions, but it seems to me that it is only working with the Panasonic phones? The TDE System only allows paging to proprietary phones or speakers. Or does the TVA50 has it owns paging groups?

You will only be able to page to digital or ip sets analogue lines will not be able to hear paging.

You could copy the message into a number mailboxes and of external notification to the analogue extensions and it will ring those phones and tell them they have a message. Won't be able to do more than 6 at a time due to ports

Other than that use mailbox to email notifications with audio file
