I have received a document that that shows all the changes made by others. How do I turn off these changes once and for all to give this document to somone outside my company...so that they dont see the all of modications.

I tried clicking on the Show button on the Tracking toolbar, but it can still be changed to view changes and and I tried copying/pasting into a new file and I can still still see tracked changes...any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Also, Ctrl+Shift+E is the keyboard shortcut to turn tracking on/off...

Thank You Carr for replying so quickly...unfortunately the recommendations are not working.

Im still looking KB for answers...

Hmmm...interesting. Try this, for grins and giggles, save a copy of the .doc as an .RTF, then save the .RTF back into a doc. Still showing?

Under Tools/Track Changes/Accept or Reject Changes

Choose to either accept or reject changes.

If tazman99 has followed the instrucitons in the link I posted, that is not working...

OK...I did not 'accept changes'...after I left my last reply I looked read more.
