Turn Off Ringer 1

Is there a way to turn off the ringer on the digital sets? Forwarding to voicemail is not an option. I know on the Norstar phones you can assign a DND key to disable the ringing. I saw a feature on the M1 but I believe this is for the console.

KEY x MSB silences the ringing when pressed. Callers will get a busy or go to the HUNT. If you have multiple appearances of the DN, then the line will just flash, not go to Busy or Hunt

Changing the key type from SCR to SCN permanently silences ring.

I'll try the MSB. They want to be able to toggle the ringer on and off.

I cant get this to work. I have made sure only appears on one phone and MARP there of course and made key 2 msb of a 3903 phone no go...

any clues?

When you press the MSB key, it should have an indicator light up beside it. That phone shouldn't ring if the MSB key is activated.

you could just make it an SCN instead of SCR on the set.

Try this:
RCK key enables the capability to turn a ring on to a ring off
SCR will not ring
MCR will not ring
KEY xx RCK 0 1
Press RCKPress the desire SCR or MCR key to turn on/off Press SCR/MCR key again to validate the choicePress RCKSame manipulation to turn on or offBy printing the TN, you will see if ring is on or off

That is a great idea. I don't know if that feature is widely available in the USA though. It's sure worth a try. Great idea!
