Hi all, i'm a newbee on Solaris and better in AIX.

My staff gave me a sunfire v240 to manage.

I've just discovered what ALOM is and when i try console -f, there is no login prompt.

Looking on solaris doc, i saw there is no ttymon running on the system even if it's in inittab.

Executing manually the inittab command line:

co:234:respawn:/usr/lib/saf/ttymon -g -h -p "`uname -n` console login: " -T sun -d /dev/console -l console -m ldterm,ttcompat

i got login prompt on the ALOM console but when i try to connect, it doesn't work and ttymon is killed and i got the following message:

No utmpx entry. You must exec "login" from the lowest level "shell".

Looking on google, i reseted utmpx who seems to give this type of problem.

No file systems full
No message in /var/adm/messages

System is running in runlevel 3

Even when trying to reboot the system, ttymon and sac are not started.

Thank's in advance for help
