TTY Port Wont come up

I built a tty port and when I enl tty x I get IOD006
Must I ini the switch before it will come up?

Did you look up the error IOD006? It might be as easy as flipping up the 'enable' switch on the card. Is it a paddle board?

At the back of Core 0 I have J13 J14 & J15, J15 has a label tty01 next to it, My ACD print is on tty 2 which is connected to J14. J13 says Critical I on it. So I assume I dont have a tty 4 to connect to. Does that make sense?

Some times you have to know your limitations. I think you should call in a vendor to take a look at this. One misstep and you could cause your switch to reboot. You have to know the hardware inorder to figure this one out. Cheaper to pay the tech to do this for you than to recover a switch in the dirt.

I would agree that a vendor visit might be best. But short of that, you see the 12" square panel on the back of the cabinet you were looking at - it comes off and that's where you follow the cables. If you have not looked in there yet, you don't know that anything is even hooked up yet.

I'll remove it in the morning and look at it, since the tty's are ctyp are quad sdi I will probably need a new one
