TTY Port 0 reconfigure

How do I reconfigure TTY Port 0 so that I can connect a modem onto it for remote access. The port originally had
a BT RACE box on it, but BT have lost the maintainence contract and I would like to replace it with a bog-standard US Robotics type modem. Are the any parameters I have to change in some overlay somewhere ?
Would appreciate laymans step by step stuff if possible.

is this an opt 11? if so the only thing you can change is the switch setting on the front of the card, that controls the speed and nothing more.. if it's a larger switch go to load 22 and prt (return) adan tty 1 (return).. changes to that are done in load 17.. chg (ret) adan (ret) chg tty 1 (ret).. if you need more help prt and post the tty you need to change..
