anyone know how to set up dial codes, FAC to set up a transfer button? Apparently this phone only has 3 speed dials and nothing else.

What device are you using?

Strictly speaking a CapTel isn't a TTY device it's a speech to text device, at least that's what I see on their website.

With that said, these are analog devices and as AvayaTeir3 stated, analog devices use switch-hook flash for transfers. On the CapTel devices, at least the models I looked at, they all appear to have a Flash button, which is what you would use for the switch-hook flash.

To transfer a call:
1.While on a call, press your phone's flash button. The call is put on hold.

2.Make a call to the transfer destination. Then do one of the following:

•Unsupervised/Blind Transfer
To transfer the call without announcing it hang up. You can do this as soon as you hear ringing. The transfer is complete.

•Supervised Transfer

To announce the call before completing the transfer, wait for the call to be answered. You can then talk with the person that answered and let them know that you are transferring a call before you press the flash button to conference everyone together, or you can just press your phone's flash button again creating a conference between all the calls. You can then hang up to exit the conference, leaving the other parties connected.
