TTY 0 1

I have an Opt 11 C running rls 25 and when doing some acd report testing I outed tty 0. Now I can't put it back. In ld 37 it is not there, In ld 22 it is not there to print, and in ld 17 it wont let me build it. I can enter tty type, cab number and card number but when I put in port 0 it gives me sch5508 (port number already in use). Why? What have I missed?

Yes it's gone. If I stat in ld 37 it says tty 0 not defined. I have tried to build new in ld 17 and also to chg it and nothing works.

What is your procedure to new it?

Should be something like:

ADAN NEW TTY 0
...

Yes I got that, Ld 17 req. chg> Type adan> adan new tty 0>
But when I get to port number 0 I get schwartzed.
I have initialized the switch, run ld 1 several times and sysloaded the switch and nothing let's me build or chg tty 0.

I know that, What I don't know is how to get the switch to realize in ld 17 what ld 22 and ld 37 already know. That is that it ain't there.

What card number are you using, It should be card 0. Also are you using SDI for the TTY Type?

Yep,cabinet 0, card 0, port 0 and as SDI. It won't let me put in port 0. Message says port already exists, but it don't. At least not in ld 37 or ld 22.

Thanks, That is not what I wanted to hear. Does anybody have any other suggestions? We don't have a contract with any vendor, so I am on my own with this.

Have you tried to do a change on the ADAN. Since it thinks its there maybe you can change the configuration.

Yes, I have tried to change it, out it again and build as new. Nothing works.

No, if I prt adan, tty 0 does not exist. Niether does cab 0 card 0 port 0. It does not show up anywhere. I only get schwartzed at adding port 0 to cab 0 card 0. I know there is corruption here, I just can't get rid of it.

Guys, could this be a bad SSC card? I have had ports on the SSC do funny things to me before where everything else
worked fine except the SSC port 0 tty 0. Just a thought....

That may be, but it was fine 'till I outed it. I have even reseated the card a couple of times and still no change.

At the > prompt type who. Does this return anything?

I don't want to sound like a smart@&& but where is that prompt supposed to come from if the tty port don't exist? My maint terminal is on tty 1. TTY 0 was for my modem. At the > prompt it shows tty 1 ovly 0.

OK, that's cool. I was looking to see if it would show another device logged in.
