ok have a question
if i type blabla.no-ip.com/tsweb
my internal domain is call fools.com

it opens up the ts web file then it says type servername i type the server name but then it comes back as cant find server or ip or it could be down.

now if i leave the server part blank it connects,

Now if iam on my internal lan and type servername/tsweb it opens up the page now if i type my servers name it logs on.
any suggestions?

If you're just connecting to the same server as the one running tsweb, you can leave the field blank. Otherwise, what happens if you just enter blabla.no-ip.com?

On my router i have the rdp portforward to my server.

1) when i type blabla.no.ip.com from a my friends pc it goes to my website, when i type blabla.no-ip.com\tsweb it goes to the login page of the ts, then asks me to type the servers name which i do then it comes back with "cant find computer or ip, or computer is down".

2)when i do the same but i dont type anything in ie( user name domain or server name)in the ts web page then it goes to the servers rdp and i can log in.

3)if i disable the rdp port forwarding and enable vnp then that works if i vnp to my machine then ts into the server.

Just wondering why i cant 2 work? just wondering if its because the internal domain is different from the external domain.

its there any way to edit the ts html doc to redirect it to the fools.com domain? or would it be possible to ad either a pointer or something else in dns to forward the request?

what name are you typing for #2?

if i drop the /tsweb bit then it goes to my web page.

That's what I meant. When you go to the tsweb page, you should be able to enter blabla.no-ip.com

yes fools.com is the internal domain name.

my server is call s1,

i type blabla.no-ip.com\tsweb

i see the page it says "Type the name of the remote computer you want to use, select the screen size for your connection, and then click Connect" on the page

If i type s1 in the box on the tsweb page for the server it says it cant find it computer might be off or no ip for it. If i dont type anything in then just click connect it goes to the server then loads up rdp logon box.

If i drop the /tsweb bit then it goes to my default web page which is not ts but underconstruction.

Okay - once again - you have to type the publicly available name, as in blabla.no-ip.com.

Using tsweb does ONE THING - it allows you to use a web browser for TS connections. The TSWEB site does NOT do DNS lookups or any kind of name resolution. It just starts the ActiveX IE plugin. NOTHING ELSE.

Typing the server name alone, or the internal domain name IS NOT GOING TO WORK. Thats by design.

YOU HAVE TO USE A PUBLICLY AVAILABLE/RESOLVABLE NAME if you expect people on the Internet to get to your TS box.

Or, you tell them to leave it blank.

is there any way i can edit the html doc to point it to my dns server?

No. Just hit the connect button. You leave the field blank.

You'd be better off just deploying an RDP connectoid with the information already entered.
