We are trying to view SMDI output from the V.24 port on the NIU board using a TSR cable and a laptop.

We can not get any information to th laptop via our TSR cable, nor can we administer the switch through the port using a direct connect admin on winfoil. We are guessing our TSR cable is the wrong pin configuration. Our TSR cable is part number:
TSR 902 0459/10000
It has been identified as a modem cable designed for the NIU card.

The TSR 902 0404/10000 mentioned in the manual has been identified as a terminal cable for the IPU which we know has been replaced by the NIU.

The TSR 902 0403/10000 mentioned in manual has been identified as modem cable for the IPU, replaced by the NIU.

Does anyone know which TSR cable we should acquire, or if we can use a null modem, or flip adapter that will make this work.

Hey thatnks for the info Whosyourddy. Is an Fbox required to read the output on the port, or is it not necessary?
