TSM 5.2.1 Storageagent and Win 2003

Hi, has everyone installed a TSM 5.2 storageagent on win 2003?

We could not connect to the tapes, but in the device manager all devices are known and ready.

All pathes has defined properly. But if we start a backup, a message appears "could not find device within this path definition".

On W2k machines all works well.

What is differently in win 2003?

Make sure you have the correct driver for specific hardware and type of connection. To me it seems like a driver issue, because i had the same problem with a ibm 3582 library, even though everything looked ok in device manager and other places. I had to get the right driver for it by down to its serial number, and then finally it worked.
