TSM 5.15 and DDS4 tapes problems

Hi,

I am running TSM 5.15 on Dell server with Dell Powervault single tape drive (4mm DDS4 20GB tapes). I have to run Windows removable storage manager as Tivoli doesn't recognise this ropey tape drive by default.

The problem is that I am using the media labeling wizard to label and checkin the volumes, but TSM believes that there is only 1GB of space on the 20GB (40GB with compression) tapes. Any suggestions what I can do to make TSM see the full size?

I am thinking of letting TSM format and label at the same time.

I fixed this by updating the devclass for the tape library and adding the estcapacity to 40G. Then deleteed current volumes and redefined them and they were seen as 40GB.
