Is it barcodes you are looking for? if yes, thread 440-25521 may be of help; there is also a parallel thread for output designer.
It may help if you described your requirement in more detail

No, not barcodes, I apologise for the brief request for info, i was in a rush.

OK, Im looking for a system which will manage our sites safety documents such as access permits, permit to work, confined sapce certificates and so on. It will also have to be capable of producing tags for isolation points, and should track isolation status of equipment. Basiacally a full Lock out/tag out permit to work safety management system.

any ideas?

Here is part of a news item dated 12 August from the MINCOM web site.

"Tarong Energy will benefit with Ellipse through the automation and linking of real-time information derived from our ongoing activities, and through new modules like the "Permits to Work" module which was developed specifically for the utilities sector," he said.

The Permits module provides a ‘Permit to Work’ system that is used to manage plant isolations which are a critical component of maintenance activities.

It provides a control to ensure that all required isolation steps have been completed before allowing the ‘Permit to Work’ to be issued. It also manages the surrendering and closing of the ‘Permit to Work’ when the maintenance work has been completed.

Hi Ed,

MIMS/Ellipse does have some basic functionality ... as mentioned by fpsysadm. Mincom also has a software partner for LockOut/TagOut.

You should contact Mincom Business Development in North America.

Thanks,

Peter.
