current situation:

- LIM1-LIM20
- Mag0 and Mag1 in each LIM
- GS
- 1xGJUL per Mag
- LIMs distributed in 8 buildings
- 100 x dectphones in each LIM
- 100 x dig.phones in each LIM
- one big syncring for handover
- external lines in LIM1, LIM2 and LIM3 (1xTLU76 in each LIM)

goal:

Server1: LIM1-LIM5
Server2: LIM6-LIM10
Server3: LIM11-LIM15
Server4: LIM16
...
Server8: LIM20
Server9: new with MGU for IP-Extensions

questions:
- Mix of Multi- and Single-Server possible?
- In which gateways I can still have GJUL4?
- How to ensure dect-sync and handover in this scenario?

Please Let´s discuss. Do not hesitate to give me your ideas, even you are not absolutely sure.

1st - how shall that work - one server - 5 lims - only possible with mgu
2nd - you can keep gjul for voice in all lims
3rd - no changes for dect - keep syncring as it is

don't need MGU for IP-Extensions

LSU-E and MGU (option at migration) can be used in one system and in a multi GW scenario but it is not possible to mix, i.e. LSU-E must be connected to one server and the MGU must be connected to another server.

All Media Gateways within a hand-over area must be fully synchronized using digital interfaces (E1/T1/BRI), either to the PSTN or to other LIMs.

The group switch can not be present in a multi GW scenario
