ok, the netgear side is set up, with ipsec and md5. Through telnet, knowing that the cisco 1841 has the latest ios with vpn support, what do I need to do on that side to finish the setup?

More on the config. Here is what is running on the cisco 1841.

Cisco IOS Software, 1841 Software (C1841-ADVSECURITYK9-M), Version 12.3(11)T5, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

Cisco 1841 (revision 5.0) with 115712K/15360K bytes of memory.
Processor board ID blahblahbalh
2 FastEthernet interfaces
1 Serial interface
1 Virtual Private Network (VPN) Module
WIC T1-DSU
DRAM configuration is 64 bits wide with parity disabled.
191K bytes of NVRAM.
31360K bytes of ATA CompactFlash (Read/Write)

And the current config on the netgear vpn router is

Connection name: myconnection
local ipsec identifier: 0.0.0.0
remote ipsect identifier: 0.0.0.0
tunnel can be accessed from: any local address
tunnel can access: the remote wan IP or fqdn
remote wan ip or fqdn: publicipofcisco
secure association: main mode
perfect forward secrecy:eek:ff
preshared key:blah
key life:28800
ike life time:86400
netbios off(I am using a wins server)

all comments appreciated!
