When trying to send an email using the Netscape Webmail. I get the following error:

The following problems occurred while processing your request.
We're sorry, we are unable to send this message at this time. Please try to send your message again. (Reference #110)

I am able to get email just fine. Has anyone seen this issue or know how to fix it or get it fixed? I saw somewhere that Netscape thinks I am a spammer and has labeled my account as a spammer account, but this is not true and I don't know how they have come to this assumption.

Any help from anyone would be great!

Lotus Domino, it rocks!

I'm teaching an Internet class and a lot of students are getting this message - which is not terribly helpful! I'd be very grateful to hear from anyone too if they know what the cause is.

This is totally obnoxious and intermittent.
It's been happening to two of my 'free' Netscape Webmail accounts for months.

How can a formal complaint be lodged with Netscape?
Do they want to drive everyone away?

It is true, my address has been the 'recipient' of spam and I have had to reply many times to get off of spam lists.

I've had the same problem intermittently for a few months and now I'm on my 6th day in a row of not being able to send....Netscapes support is unbelievably bad...they want 10 dollars for an email & 40 dollars for a phone call..this was after I talked to India twice, once with an accent so heavy I literally could not understand most of what the person I was talking to said....I can't believe Netscape has fallen this far....if a solution should popup please notfiy me...thanks

I've had this problem before and it stopped. but once again i am getting the same problem and at a very bad time, please any can u help me i need quick fix.

hi, i just put up a message saying i had the same problem and couldnt fix it. well, after that i figured it out lol.

first go to your netscape email and in the top right corner u have 3 options (preferences/help/sign out) click on help.

that will send you to a netscape help menu. once there scroll down to where you see General Information, and click on still need help. that will send you to the bottom of the page and you want to click on help site. thsi will send you to netscape.com mail help menu. On the far left click on troubleshooting, there you have a list of what i suppose are FaQ's. click on (I can no longer send, forward, reply, move, and/or delete mail messages). from there read the directions.

I'm sure there is probably a quicker way to this but i figured i would walk you through how i found it, that way you might see another answer to another problem you might have. Thanks for listening, and i hope this works for all of you.

Hi, I thought you all might be interested in my recent experience with my Netscape Webmail account. I haven't been able to send, receive, forward, or reply to any emails since May 20 (today is June 2). Got the same message as aepnotesadmin. As a test, I sent an email (from my work address) to my Netscape Webmail and got back a message from the lovely MAILER-DAEMON@aol.com, with the subject "Returned mail: User unknown." Some choice phrases in the body of the message included "permanent fatal errors," "midi330 IS NOT ACCEPTING ANY MAIL," and "User unknown." Of course, this was news to me. I scoured Netscape's site for help on the topic, tried what Krazed83 said...twice...on my home & work computer, to no avail. Finally broke down and called Netscape yesterday, and like dmkc said, had to shell out $40 for the call. Spoke to a man with a nice, thick Spanish accent who spoke broken English. No luck there, so I spoke to his supervisor (also with a strikingly similar
accent). Ready for this? Here are some of the answers they gave me. Try the help pages. Maybe you got spammed. Reset your email account. Sign up for a new one. Nothing but lame excuses. The bottom line? THEY DON'T SUPPORT NETSCAPE WEBMAIL because it is a free, web-based service. That's exactly what they told me. Naturally, I was quite perturbed and demanded my $40 back. They took down all my info, gave me a case #, and said they would refund my credit card. We'll see...

My advice? Dump your Netscape account and sign up for one of the many other free ones that are out there (and check to see that they actually support their Webmail client). Of course, since that was my primary email, now I have to change all my listservs, credit cards, banks, insurance, retail sites, and everything else that email was attached to (basically my whole life). What fun...

Thanks for nothing, Netscape.
