Trying to page by dialing a DID routing to page trunk access code

I know this isn't a smart idea as if someone gets the DID they could do some harmful pages but was wondering if it was possible.

I want to dial a DID number and once the call hits the PBX, I want it to route to the ACOD of the paging trunk. I have tried a couple options with phantom DCFW to the ACOD and ACD with NCFW to ACOD but I either get the call intercepting to the attendant ot get a busy.
Any ideas?

I doubt it will work since it is built as a page trunk. You could use DISA though and do it that way.

system from the public or private network by dialing a special Directory
Number (DN) assigned by the customer. The number can be dialed from
any Digitone telephone outside the network. Once the Direct Inward

Thanks, I was aware of the DISA option, just looking for possible alternatives.

The DISA option comes with security. That is what I would do. Just pointing a DID to the Page Route is a ticket to new job.

Yes, bad idea. Someone like me (a wiseguy) would call into the DID and page: "Ben Dover you have a call Parked in the Restroom" or "Harry Butts to Pharmacy please" LOL Ahhhhh, my days in college and the Local Supercenter (not Wal Mart) store with a page trunk accessible from the outside.
