CD\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office
Msaccess.exe D:\shipping\shipment_daily.mdb /user reddy /pwd /x load

cmd /c dir > d:\crap1.out

why not have access open the needed data file and import when opened? Bastien

There are many ways to skin this cat,
but it still tastes like chicken

No there shouldn't be any manual intervention. Every thing needs to be automated. And we dont even open the access. The access is only as staging area and other reporting tool will access the updated data...can some pls send me a BATCH file which can load data into Access in batch without any manual intervention..I appreciate it.

I have a series of bat files and one of the files executes Access. If you want a copy of the directory and all the supporting data, give me an email address and I will send.
