trying to get the User name, user's last name and user's first name

Hi, I'm trying to get the userid, last name, and first name of the user who is logged into the oracle system, can someone help me with this. thanks

I am using the sql code, and i need the sql code to get the user info. I'm not even sure if it can be even done

Through what applications are the users accessing the database?

oh sorry, I am using a power builder front end

The database itself does not maintain that information. You can get the user's database name from v$session. But first name and last name is not stored anywhere.
