I work in IT so am not really a phone guy but have some expereince on our Neax 2000 IPS PBX. We are using ProfitWatch as our Call accounting software and it is configured to recieve and process incoming call data that our PBX sends. Problem is it doesnt appear our PBX is sending the incoming call data to the call accounting software.

My question is how does one verify or start it sending the incoming call data. Also is there a database that can be accessed in Matworx that would have the incoming call data stored so I could go back through that for auditing purposes until we get the incoming call data being sent over correctly? Thanks for your time and consideration

The first test is to connect a pc across the raw data feed out of the PABX running a terminal program and see if the data is coming out. it would usually be set to 9600 none 8 1.

There is outgoing call information getting sent to our Call accounting pc and the hotel housekeeping folks can use the room phones to change room status in the Property management system. So it is transmitting some data, just seems to not be the incoming call data. Thanks.

Incoming call data has to be assigned. It is not active at default. You need to set CMD 1305 DE extension DE 0. EX: 1305 DE 222 DE 0 EXE. This must be done for each extension in the system. Additionally, the trunk routes used must be set to allow incoming call data. EX: 3549 DE tk rt DE 0 exe.
EX: 3549 DE 10 DE 0 EXE. This also must be done for every incoming trunk route.

Thanks for that Belvedere. I did go through all of the extensions and trunk routes to confirm or switch on the SMDR for incoming call options. Most of the extension were already set up that way and all the trunks were. Still no Incoming call data showing up on the Call Accounting server. Anything else on the PBX side that may be affecting this?

Yes. If you are using an AP-00 card than incoming calls are defaulted to be sent only when an account code is used. The same is true if you are using SMDR from the CPU.
Try changing-- CMD 08>426>0 for CPU
Or CMD D001>70>1 for AP-00 card. A card reset is required afterward.
