Hey all,

Forgive me, I am a bit new to the Aloha system, and I seem to have run into a quandary on my first config. We purchased a used Aloha system and I am repurposing it for a client. I'm trying to change the IP scope of the LAN and I'm running into issues. I'm going from 192.168.77.x to 192.168.100.x. I change the BOH server and then go to each of the terminals and change their address as well. I then reboot everything. When the terminals start to load Aloha, it appears to hang on the "making socket call to validate configuration" and then the Aloha screen completely disappears. If I go back to the original IP it then works fine after a reboot. I have also tried renaming the Aloha folder on the terminals and then running the Insttrm.exe application - still no luck. I'd really appreciate some help if anyone might have some ideas or recs.

Thanks!
Ben

I never received any replies, so I went ahead and used the old IP scheme instead of trying to re-IP. If anyone has an answer for this it would still be handy to hear as I might have to do this in the future...

Thanks,
Ben

It looks like Radiant Auto Loader is running on the terminals. May need to get the dealer involved.

Coorsman - Thanks for the response. The autoloader is indeed running on these systems. I tried deleting one of the terminals and readding it with the new IP address in the Site Configuration UI. This was after changing the IP of the server. Is there some .INI file that references the IP and gets pushed to terminal when the RAL runs? Or is it much more complicated than that? I've been doing general IT work for 17 years, but this is my first round with Aloha and this client bought the setup used (read: no dealer support). Again, thank you for the reply.

Hey Coorsman. It looks like we are running into the same issue. Recently switched over the network to dedicated vlans for POS, etc. The new vlan has a different ip scheme. Wondering if I could get a copy of the RAL pdf. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Why not just disable the autoloader from the start menu and use environmental variables?
