I am trying to call a report from an Oracle Form. I keep getting the message ORA-06502 PL/SQL: numeric or value error in report call. I have researched the error message and it is telling me a field does not have the correct type. I have checked everything that I am using and all types match the data from the data base. I haven't even addressed the issue of passing parameters until I can get it to show the report.

If anyone has any suggestions or needs to see code I am using I will be glad to submit.

thanks

Does the report run with no errors in the Report Designer, if no parameters entered? If yes, please show how you call the report.

No, I just checked I have to have the parameters in the report for any data to be returned.

So give some default value for every required parameter, make sure it runs OK in the Report Builder without typing in any additional parameters, and try calling it from the form again.

Thank you for all your help. I have shared your ideas with a couple of my coworkers. As it was mine turned out that I was working offline and once we posted to the server the reports ran.

Again - a big thanks and I'll be back here often I am sure.
