trust with NT4 domain

How do i create a trust between AD and another NT4 domain?
 
Check DNS on the AD side quick... on your root zone, see if you have a record for your DC similar to:

(same as parent folder) Host(A) x.x.x.x

yes this record is present with DNS
 
check out tlcscousin's post quick. look at MS Article - your LMHost file is most likely incorrect at this point. I'm guessing that your LMHost file has domain.local in it? You will need to put in the NetBIOS domain name of your AD Domain in there.

Can you confirm if this is/isn't the case?
